You set your default waste percentage (most contractors use 10%). When you enter room dimensions, we automatically add the waste factor to your material quantity. For diagonal installs or complex rooms, you can adjust it per room—15% for diagonal, 20% for pattern matching. The calculation is: Room Sq Ft × (1 + Waste %) = Material Needed.
