Last year, a hardwood installer told us he lost a $6,000 job because he took two days to send a quote. By the time he got home, opened Excel, and did the math, the customer had already signed with someone else.
He wasn't slow because he's lazy. He was on another job site. He didn't have time to drive home, pull up his spreadsheet, and calculate 1,200 square feet of red oak with 10% waste at $8.50 installed. So he waited. And lost.
We looked for an app that could help him. What we found were generic invoice tools that don't understand flooring—no waste factor, no room-by-room breakdown, no instant square footage calculations. For diagonal installs or complex rooms, you can adjust it per room—15% for diagonal, 20% for pattern matching. The calculation is: Room Sq Ft × (1 + Waste %) = Material Needed.

All of them. Hardwood, laminate, luxury vinyl plank (LVP), tile, carpet, engineered wood—you can create custom materials in your price book with whatever pricing makes sense for your business. We don't lock you into preset categories.
You set your own prices in your price book. Most contractors use an 'installed price' per sq ft that includes material + labor + margin. For example: $5.50/sq ft installed for LVP, $8.00/sq ft for hardwood. Or you can break out material and labor separately—whatever works for your business.
An estimate is a rough approximation with room for adjustment. A quote is a fixed price for defined work—once the customer signs, that's the price. Floor Quote Pro generates quotes, but you can add language like 'Subject to site inspection' if you need flexibility.
